These are three of my favorite things!
So often I talk with people about eating healthfully, and the initial reactions are dread, despair, and deprivation.
Then when I talk about how eating healthfully not only helps one to feel good, but also gives on the freedom to enjoy delicious food, I am met with skepticism, doubt, and disbelief.
Hmmm…could that really be the truth?
Last night, Finestra Gallery hosted an event where I had the chance to prove this to be true. I whipped up some truffles, loaded them with some superfoods, and chatted it up with some really great people. It was a really fun evening!
People were surprised that the truffles were homemade (and super easy to make, because remember – I am NOT a lover of cooking) and so rich that they were really like an indulgent treat.
I especially love the versatility of truffles. You can find a base you love and boost them with any superfood combo you’d like!
Honestly, I was a little nervous about the truffles that had the spirulina in them (algae and chocolate…), but they were the crowd pleaser and even my hubby’s favorite!
Finestra Gallery was the perfect setting for this event. I have to give a shout out to the owner, Lisa, who is really an amazing and generous person. She was all in when I shared this idea with her – pairing wine and superfoods – and I look forward to being there again soon. She has a beautiful store, which happens to be my go-to for gifts. Look at the really cute water bottles she has (see picture) and check out her website here.
Want to try out the truffles? The 5-Day Superfood Meal Plan will be uploaded to the website soon as a special gift to you 🙂
Let me know in the comments below which truffle you are most excited to try…
