Weekly Roundup – May 17th, 2019

It’s been a rainy start to spring, but with schools getting out next week and summer just a few weeks away, let’s get outside and do something fun! The high energy vibes are heading our way. This time of year is great for you to get out and about, and really do something you enjoy – whether that’s a walk in the metro parks, hitting up one of the local farmers markets or trying something new you found in these weekly roundups!
Here’s a look at what’s going on in the area –  get out and connect with others & have some fun. Whether you feel like hitting up one of these events for some “me” time or you’re looking for a weekend activity to enjoy with family or friends, here are some community events to consider:

 

Downtown Willoughby Rib Burn Off

When: Saturday May 18th noon – 1o PM

Sunday, May 19th noon – 8 PM

Where: Downtown Willoughby, Erie Street will be closed off to traffic

Details: Enjoy live music, beer & craft cocktails and of course, ribs! The event is in it’s 8th year and draws thousands to Erie Street in Downtown Willoughby every year. Free admission

 

Cleveland Bazaar

When: Saturday, May 18th 10 AM – 4 PM

Where: Market Square Park, Cleveland – right across the street from the West Side Market

Details: NE Ohio’s longest-running handmade event!

 

 

 

Wildroots Modern Market: Legacy Village

When: Saturday May 18th, 11 AM – 4 PM

Where: Legacy Village, 25001 Cedar Rd, Lyndhurst 44124

Details: You’ll find handmade goods from local artisans including: Art, home decor, refurbished furniture, vintage goods, crafts, jewelry, ceramics, woodworking, glass work, leather goods, bath & body, candles, paper goods, novelties. There will also be food trucks and live music.

 

Cleveland Vegfest

When: Saturday, May 18th 11 AM – 7 PM

Where: Huntington Convention Center of Cleveland, 300 Lakeside Ave E, Cleveland 44114

Details: Held by The Cleveland Vegan Society, the event will feature a vegan food court, cruelty-free marketplace and speakers including athletes, doctors and more. Free admission, $5 suggested donation at the door

 

Cleveland Asian Festival 

When: Saturday, May 18th 11 AM – 7 PM

Sunday, May 19th 11 AM – 7 PM

Where: E. 27th St & Payne Ave. Cleveland

Details: Live entertainment including Cultural Performances and demonstration on two outdoor stages, a World Marketplace of 100+ vendors and exhibitors, 25+ local restaurants, and caterers offering authentic Asian cuisine, Free tours of AsiaTown on Lolly the Trolley, Free health screenings at the Health Pavilion inside Asia Plaza, Free activities, Free games, an eating contest, Colors of Asia Fashion show, and an Asian Pop Dance Competition. Free admission, event will take place rain or shine!
