Stressed? Me too.

It’s a stressful time right now.

With all of this uncertainty, it’s hard to not feel like you’re on the longest ever rollercoaster ride.

One day you’re re-organizing your kitchen cabinets and decluttering the pantry, the next you’re binge watching Tiger King…in your pjs…while eating Mitchell’s pistachio ice cream right out of the carton…all damn day.

The most important thing to remember is that there’s no one right way to do quarantine life…or any kind of life really.

You’ve just gotta get good at knowing when you need to rest and when you need to focus forward. Because finding a good balance between the two is what will make it possible for you to thrive through anything that life throws your way.

To do this, take a break from the nonstop information overload coming from from your phone, computer and tv (turn them off).

And spend some quality alone time getting quiet. Do things that allow you to connect with and hear that wise voice inside of you (sit in the sun, go for a walk, meditate, pray, take an extra long shower).

This is how you know when to rest and when to act. It’s how you find balance in your life. And it’s how you’ll thrive through this, or anything that life throws your way.

You can do this hard thing that you’re already doing. You’re stronger than you realize. Remember that always.

And on those days that this feels a little tough to tap into, here’s a little Alicia Keys to help you through.

Let me know in the comments, what’s one thing you do that helps you to feel really tuned in and connected with yourself?
