Quick Way to Refocus

If you’re like most of my clients (and honestly most people that I know), life gets busy…and you get distracted.  

This is why at the beginning of each month (on the HH calendars), I ask you the same thing: what will you do this month to connect with how you most want to feel?

It gives you a quick opportunity to reset and refocus.

When you know how you most want to feel (present, inspired, peaceful, motivated, connected, free, etc.) you can DO things each day to connect you with that experience.

For example, if you want to feel more connected, what is one thing you can do today to help you feel that way?

Here are some ideas:

  • Call your sister.
  • Make eye contact and smile when you pass someone.
  • Take your dog for a walk.
  • Eat dinner with no distractions. 
  • Be outside.
  • Meditate or journal.

You can even kick this exercise up a notch by writing how you most want to feel at the top of a piece of paper, then brainstorm a list of all the things you can do, and hang that list on your fridge or bathroom mirror.

Do one (or more) each day and be sure to add to your list as ideas come to you. If you need ideas let me know—I’ve got an endless supply ;).
