Cinnamon Ginger Hot Cocoa

Hot cocoa is one on my most favorite things IN THE WORLD! And when the weather starts to get chilly, I start to get the itch for this savory treat. I have to admit that I have a long history of quick cocoa fixes, but I was determined to create a recipe that I loved early in the season this year. Now I can enjoy this treat while still feeling good about the nutritional indulgence all winter long!

In a small pot over the stove, warm and whisk together the following ingredients:

  • 2 cups almond milk
  • 1/2 can coconut milk
  • 2 TBSP cacao powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1” shaved ginger
  • 1 tsp honey (add more depending on your sweet preference). You can also use maple syrup
  • several dashes of cinnamon
